3711FL
Just a warning to anyone with this model.
I purchased a new 3711FL last month in Texas.
Pulled it back to OKC empty.
first time opening slides ended up damaging fridge-stove slide and one cabinet door. It is impossible to see if the cabinet doors are open due to the dinette slide being closed.
Be very careful and do something to prevent it in the future.
I installed a set of self closing hinges that match the original on all doors that can open and catch a slide. Hinges can be bought at Lowes in singles or 10 packs.
The self closers require slight tweaking to leave the proper gap on doors.

This is a common problem for many and after a few close calls or incidents one finds a way to avoid future problems. On our last three floor pans we have used short bungee cords to lash the side by side cabinets together to avoid any of those doors from opening. We will look at installing an additional magnetic hinge or perhaps those self closing hinges you have suggested on our single doors.
When we set up we open the opposing slides just far enough for one of us to skinny down between the dinette and fridge slides to check for a door that may have opened or something that may have been tossed around during travel and fallen near the sides of the slides. Caution when opening any slide for sure is your best bet.

True. Same issue with my previous trailer with a kitchen slide. If a drawer or cabinet opens in travel, damage can occur when opening the slide.
good heads up for those who may be unaware

We use short velcro straps on the double doors and added extra magnetic closers to the singles. If you go to the big box stores to get the magnetic closers most of them have two kinds. The ones that cost a buck or two more have a much stronger magnet.

We also have had cabinet doors open on the slide next to the refrigerator and stove. When we arrive at our destination, what works well for us is to turn of the hydraulics for that slide, then after the dining slide is open we can access the kitchen area to check for open cabinet doors. After everything is confirmed to be ok, we turn the knob to release that slide, then continue with our business.

I use the plastic u shaped baby safety door locks. They work great and only take a minute to place on the door handles.

Yup, exactly what we did. Only took one cabinet door to be ripped off to find a solution!!

This is a common issue with many different brand RVs. One of the last things to do in your getting ready to travel list is ensure all cabinet doors are shut. With the 3711FL unit, the OP is correct as you can't see the kitchen as the slides go in.
