Removing Kitchen Drawers
HELP! I need to remove the kitchen drawers to clean out back there and I can't for the life of me figure out how they detach from the rails. Has anyone done it before? I'm sure its simple and I'm just missing it, but I hope someone out there knows how to do it! Thanks.

if you open the drawer fully and then lift up on the handle end, will it continue to come out? make sure your other hand is underneath the drawer if it does.

My drawers are a little different.
Pull them all the way out. Where the cabinet slide and drawer slides meet you will find a black lever on the drawer slide. Push it down or up depending on which side and pull the drawer forward a little and it will come out. When putting the drawer back in push the cabinet slides all the way in then align the drawer in them. Push it all the way in and pull it out making sure both have latched.
I hope it helps.

Thanks you all!! AFTER I put this question on the web I did a quick search of the forum and........I found someone who also had the problem! My drawers have plastic tabs on the sides when you pull them out and if I lifted up on the left side and pushed down on the right it came right out. I LOVE this forum!!! The reason I had to get them out was that I had a squirrel in there that came in around some holes that were made around the leaf spring shackles! Those puppies are getting some expando foam to seal them from the critters!

av2pilot, mine are like yours and I still can't get them out. I think I'm not correctly interpreting your instructions. What was it you "lifted up on the left side and pushed down on the right side?" Was that the drawer itself or the rails or the tabs? When I do that with the drawers they pull out as far as the rails will travel and then stop. So please help this poor dense soul. Thanks.

Okay, on the drawer rail (the one attached to the drawer) if you pull it out and look at the side there is a curved piece of black plastic that ends in a point. If you pull it up on one side and push it down on the other side with your finger (the curved piece of plastic)while pulling the drawer out it will come right out. Hope this helps.

Harry & Jackie, thank you very much. I got the drawer out after looking closely and seeing what you described. Our drawers were sticking without being fully extended and I did not see the latch until I pulled them forcefully all the way out. And I find now they easily extend fully.
Thanks again.
