We stayed in Otter Lake Camp Resort, Pocono Mountains, Pa. which is 10 miles from the Delaware Water Gap. We stayed here Oct. 2006 - had a great site that was on the lake - beautiful leaves at that time of year. It was a little spendy, but we wanted a site on a lake and they were hard to find in the Pocono area, close to the Delaware Water Gap. It was a very nice campground, very large.

We live close to the Pocono Mountains so we never camp there and really don't know much about them. As silver bird mentioned, Otter Lake we have heard is a nice CG and they are listed as being in Marshalls Creek Pa and TL ratings are Park 8.5 Rest Rooms 8.5 Visual 8.5
Other CG from in the area from TL are:

Pocono Vacation Park Stroudsburg TL ratings Park 8.5 Rest Rooms 8.5 Visual 7
Mountain Vista Campground East Stroudsburg TL ratings Park 8 Rest Rooms 8.5 Visual 9.5
Delaware Water Gap KOA East Stroudsburg TL ratings Park 7 Rest Rooms 7 Visual 8
Mount Pocono Campground- Mount Pocono - TL ratings Park 8 Rest Rooms 9 Visual 8

We've never RVed there, but we did spend a week at a honemoon resort back in '65. It's beautiful country.

We just left Mountain Vista in East Stroudsburg. Very good campground and close to Philly and NY for day trips. We especially enjoyed going to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island on the ferry.

Agree Otter lake was nice but it has many sites that are difficult to get into and they are not forgiving on campers touching their trees. Additionally, this puts you down to end of the delaware water gap (Route 209) just south of the local flee market which causes major traffic jams.
Have not been to Pocono for quite sometime but Keen Lake was very nice...just not near any recreational area's aside from Lake Wallenpaupack which is beautiful.

scrowba - were you camped was this near the PA Grand Canyon. I've heard that is was beautiful, but I've never been there. We were hoping to go this next summer and not only see the PA Grand Canyon, but also go to the Nascar race as well.
