There should be several Predelivery Inspection (PDI) lists around in the archives. Do a search and I am sure you will find some. Be sure to go over it with a fine toothed comb. It is a lot easier to get repairs or corrections BEFORE they get their money. This is the time to look at everything with a hypercritical eye. This is just business at this point. Hope all goes really well. Congratulations and happy RVing....

Norm,
Congrats! For sure use a PDI checklist and plan to spend hours going over things. We spent a night in our rig at the dealers to get familiar w/everything while there. Worked well. You're going to love how the 5th wheel tows! I was very apprehensive when we got ours. Take your time, practice, and be sure to swing wide on right turns. Came close to taking the awning off on a power pole in Chincoteague, VA making a right turn! Do like the semi trucks do and take what room you need. You'll be a pro before you know it. Very happy for you.

Congats, you have made a good choice. My Montana is the 3rd 5er and the 1st Monty. You will find it pulls like a dream. You will also find that the members of MOC are some of the nices people you you can find. They are more then willing to help with any questions you may have. The first advice I see you were given was to use the PDI check list and take your time. Don't let the dealership rush you. Take it slow and easy and you'll do fine. Happy Camping.

Well, I was going to brag about how easily the Montana tows but the previous posters beat me to it. You will be pleasantly surprised. We've often said that sometimes we forget that it's even back there. The 3000 is a great model. Enjoy your new adventure.

Congratulations! You are on the cusp of an exciting time and you certainly do not want it to become frustrating. Use the pdi list here and take your time. The dealer wants your money and should take the time to work with you.

Norm, What a great valentine that call must have been! May you enjoy many safe and happy miles in your new wheel estate. When we took delivery it was our first time to tow a 5er. We drove through a violent storm on narrow roads and arrived safely. Was a great break in experience. Has all been downhill since and we are now enjoying our second Montana. Welcome to the MOC. Lots of great information and good folks here. Keep us posted on your adventures.

check the plumbing connections and traps. they come loose from the factory. make sure your black and grey handles are labeled correctly, many times they are miss labeled at the factory. make sure the hose to vent the battery box is long enough and in place. if you have the paddle fan and light in the kitchen, check the screws that hold the fan blades they are ususally loose. just a few of the minor things to look for that are usually overlooked by factory and dealer.

Welcome and use the PDI check lists. Check everything ie., all lights and switches. Done right the PDI should take anywhere from two to four hours. Write any problems down and insure repairs are completed if necessary before accepting your coach. Good luck.

Congrats on your new coach. I can only agree with the rest of the folks here, you sometimes forget the Montana is even back there. It really does tow well! Just remember take it slow and easy until you feel comfortable towing your new coach, then sit back and enjoy the journey.
