Sofa Bed adjustment

The sofa bed in our new Monte sleeps OK, but the head of the bed is about 3 inches higher that the center and foot of the bed. Kind of like you're on a slope. It looks like the height difference of the slide out where the head of the bed is located is the cause. Has anyone else seen this and can the mechanism be lowered enough to make the mattress level? Seems like this should be a factory adjustment.
