can't find my dexter axle book (again). can anyone tell me the proper lug nut torque for a 2012 3400rl. Im thinking 120ftlb but not sure

6k axles with 1/2" studs 90-120 ft/lbs.

7k axles with 9/16" studs 120-140 ft/lbs.

8k axles with 5/8" studs 140-160 ft/lbs.

Don't forget to torque the lug nuts in stages and use the cross pattern when torquing.

See reply #6 above. You have 7K axles,

On Edit: Rohrman is correct, you have 1/2" studs, not 9/16" as listed in Reply #6 above. Use the 110-120 number.

Most 7K axles on these rigs have 1/2" studs that are torqued to 120 ft lbs. The Dexter manual does not give torque values for wheels, except for Dexter steel wheels made prior to June of 2004. They do give maximum torque that can be applied to the studs on their axles. Keystone owner's manuals are available at this link: http://www.keystonerv.com/customer-service/owners-manual
The procedure and torque for the lug nuts is in this manual, and the torque values have not changed for quite a number of years.

Mark, the frame appears to be repaired, but I've only pulled approximately 100 miles. We are still having an issue with the front AC unit. It keeps turning off when on low, but there is a TSB about it, but not yet sure if it is the same problem.

We've had pretty good luck with ours so far. A few minor skirmishes so far, but nothing anywhere near your level. We did buy a 5 year extended warranty with ours. Its helped with a few issues so far out on the road, and some that were meh!

Hey a quick question, how do you like your Trail Air kingpin? I am looking at ways to reduce the chucking, plus the bounce inside. A shock absorber kit looks promising, or a air ride pin box or hitch.

Actually, we love it. I like the way it tows now as the truck doesn't have all the harsh jarring at times like before. And the truck has air bags too. I've never had any chucking with any of our campers, and I really couldn't tell the difference with the MorRyde hitch. So far, we love it.
