Awning suggestions

We have a 2019 3811 MS 29th Anniversary Edition. At the end of our last trip we had problems with the 19’ awning. It wouldn’t retract , didn’t move at all. We were boondocking many miles from any type of help. I called several mobile repair companies but do to where we were the cost was beyond high. I ended up cutting the material off ( was in need of replacement anyway do to Arizona sun). The I had to take apart some of the arm since it still wouldn’t retract. I’m sure it was the awning motor that was holding it out.
From research it sounds like my 9200 Domestic has its issues so I’m looking for advice/suggestions on a replacement model. Also interested in ideas for awning covers to save it from being damaged by the sun here. Any advice and suggestions would be appreciated.

I had a similar issue with my 2019 3791RD awning and found that if I unplug the power to the motor and plug it back in, it worked again. Apparently the connector just below the motor inside the forward awning arm gets corroded over time and loses contact. Just unplugging and plugging it back together fixed it. I've had to do that twice now in the last 4 years, even after spraying it with contact cleaner.
BTW, if yours get stuck in or out, you can run it manually with a drill and 1/4" driver bit by removing the plastic cover on top of the motor and turning the nut with your drill. One direction is closed, the other open.
