Rhonda and I are coming. I tried to get discounted tickets or passes from RV America. They said they are not comped tickets anymore. You can buy the tickets online for $7 or $10 5at. the door. http://www.gsevents.com/shows/display.cfm?ShowID=75 . Lets meet at 10:00 at RV America's space # 2. RV America's booth is # 2,11,12 and 20. Space #2 is to the left front as you walk in from main upper level against the SE corner.

Just persaonnely...I would never PAY to get into an RV show to purchase and look at products and RV's. I think the FMCA ralleys and other shows that charge really miss out. I might only come to look, but always buy some type of gadget from some vendor and a food item as well. If Quartzsite charged an entry they would really hurt. I think these shows should re-think admission charges.

The difference with the shows it is a production. The event center has to be rented, staffed, cleaned, security, advertised and promoted etc. It is not just someone showing up in the desert and having a free for all. Fee's are charged to the vendors as well as the public. It is not unsual for the production company to barely break even or have very little profit. The venues (citys) charge large amounts to host these shows. Yes, people make money from putting on shows but it is a big risk and a outlay upfront. I have been a vendor as well as working a show making a living in sales. I felt I earned my money. If you are wanting to look and compare all the competition in your market this is a great way of seeing it all and comparing in one venue. No one makes us go to them. My opnion comes from the salesman side of things. MY .02 worth

I don't mind paying as it is cheaper than gas and more time efficent than going to all the dealers in the area. Besides, the weather is generally pretty lousy when the show is going on so it kills an afternoon in a nice climate controled enviroment. But "to each their own." Jim

x2 Maybe I shouldn't rant and rave so much. It is very easy to read a tone or attitude into emails. Emails are not the spoken word. It is really easy to take someone wrong. I have on the side of sales and promotion and know how much hard work and effort the shows are.

I didn't read any tones into any of these post was just expressing my opinion on why I think they have some value. I understand everyone doesn't like the same things. Enjoy the Colorado Show, I'll enjoy the KC show, and Dandt will enjoy not going to either. Jim

Are there any other Colorado MOC members out there? I contacted Bud/Susie and Don/Wendy via email. Let's see if we can get more new members to our Rocky Mountain group. Any Wyoming, Kansas, Utah, or New Mexico folks too would be welcome. Or, if you were skiing and are now in a wheel chair recovering and want to spend a warm day indoors, come meet us.

For those of you that want to have lunch after the show: Rhonda and I are going to Sams # 3 to eat. It was featured on Drive inns, Diners and Dives on TV. Good food, Viriety, and fair priced. http://samsno3.com/ directions http://samsno3.com/get-here/ Just blocks fron the convention center.
