Cabinet bumpers?
In our 2011 model 3150, the cabinet over the sink is just waiting to rip a nice bloody gash in your head if you make the mistake of raising your head in the wrong position while bending over the sink.
I've located several types of cabinet bumpers online. However, none seem to be visually appealing. Has anyone delt with this problem and come up with a solution?

Maybe I'm vertically challenged ... no problem with the over the sink cabinet in my 3150 since 5/2010.

I've had some "near misses". I shudder to think of turning quickly and catching a corner with my eye. I don't have a solution for it (yet) but it's a problem worthy of a good solution. Thanks for bringing this up in a post!

In reply to dieselguy. Just feel those razor sharp corners and imagine what they will do to someones head when they accidentally bump it.

Concern is noted ... we'll just have to drive up to the fiver and run a scenerio. Are you talking about inadvertantly leaving a cabinet door open?? Still, I just think we're vertically challenged

Its gotten me a few time, DW is vertically challenged too, so not problem for her.
I did build a counter top extension, so at least now I won't get it from the side.

denanddannie: Sorry if I struck a nerve earlier. I was just stating that we had not had an issue in almost 2 years. Perhaps it's because I put a towel bar on the end of the cabinet, maybe it's because we always have the counter extension up, or maybe I have big feet and can't get that close ... HA! We went by the fiver tonight and took a closer look at your issue ... it's just not going to be an issue for us. However, just throwing out an idea for those who think they need to embark on a mod. Have an assistant help hold an old sheet or something over the sink area while also shielding the rear of the fiver to catch as much debris as possible. Set up a router with a bit similar to the one in my photo. With the help of a guide and some masking tape to protect the current trim, route the underside of the present moulding to create a rounded edge. You won't be able to get clear to the ends by the wall or cabinet, but if done right, it will look factory. Lightly sand as needed and apply the Minwax (Early American)also shown in the photo. It is really close to the hickory color and is also a sealer. If it doesn't turn out to be the same gloss, just coat with some thinned polyurethane to suit.

I like the idea of the paper towel rack. That way if we inadvertantly raise our head and somehow split it open, the towels will be there to absorb the blood. I'm joking, of course. But, the towel rack is an idea I think I will try.
Thanks for your help, dieselguy.
