Funny you mention United States Warranty! I just recently had to contact and do a deal with them, and it was most pleasant. Nowdays, it seems that customer service is lacking at a lot of companies, but not in this case. Twice, they have been good to us. First, when we got our 2007 3400RL, a year later I couldn't find the warranty card. I emailed them, and they promptly sent me a new card, and a copy of the declarations page. More recently, and this was a big one to me, we have traded the '07 for a new 2011 3400RL. In reading the information in our "packet" it states that the warranty can be transferred to a NEW owner, ONE time, but ONLY if it is a direct sale. If traded in to a dealer (which we did) the warranty is null and void. HOWEVER, I wanted to KEEP the warranty on the new rig, and couldn't find anything regarding that. So, I emailed them again. Oddly enough, the SAME person (vice president of sales and marketing) that I delt with before, responded again. Her name is Katie Lentine. She said she would check to see if that could be done, although she'd never done it before. It took a week, and she had to go to the "top" but in the end, they did agree to transfer the warranty to our new rig, with only a $50 transfer fee. She did say this is not something they normally do, but they wanted to keep me as a customer. This was not a inexpensive warranty, so I was one happy camper. In my opinion, Katie went the extra mile for us, and the company kept happy customer, which of course I will let others know as I'm doing now. I know there are LOTS of companies out there that sell these warranties, I just happened to get one from United States Warranty and am very happy with the way they've treated me. Haven't had to use it yet, but based on this experience, I expect no problems.
That's my 2.5 cents (adjusted for inflation) worth!
