Need new wheels for Blue Boy - GOT 'EM
Our faithful blue boy tote tank needs new wheels and we're having a hard time finding any. Has anyone replaced theirs? We've tried hardware stores, farm stores, big box stores, and rv stores - all to no avail. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks.
GOT NEW WHEELS TODAY AT TRACTOR SUPPLY, ALONG WITH AXLE PUSH NUTS. THANKS MOC FAMILY. BOB IS SO HAPPY NOT TO WORRY ABOUT DRAGGING THE TANK ON THE ROAD!

We replaced ours with ones from Harbor Freight. It was a new tote tank, but Al wanted quiet rubber wheels and after seeing a post from Trailer Trash II, explaining the process of replacing them, he thought it was a great idea. They work very well and roll much better and are quieter than the other ones.

When ours was delivered, the wheels were broken. Thetford sent me some new ones. Maybe you can contact them.

Our little blue boy had trouble with the wheels & axle coming off all of the time. What I did to remedy this was to place some of that weld stuff you get from Wal-Mart, (I think it was called JB-weld or something similar, it’s been so long ago now that it’s difficult to remember); anyway I put it across the axle to hold it in place and it quit coming off. I had this stuff for when I was trying to repair the gray tank from leaking of which I couldn’t get it to work on that. I haven’t had any problems with just the wheels their selves and they haven’t come off anymore.

Thanks, everybody. We'll check Harbor Freight out and see what we can come up with. We only been using this tank for about 10 years and I guess we could get a new one, but the tank is still good; the wheels have just cracked from being squished one time. Thanks, again.

Maybe some of those 30" jobs with the real skinny tires? Don't want to be out of style do you?

Bob repair it, you can buy 50 wheels for the price of a Blue or Gray tank now.
