What Caulking to Use
The silicone caulking around trim from front cap to siding, around door frames, electrical outside outlets needs replacing. What is the type and name of caulking to use. Is the ProFlex RV sealant one of them? The original is either almond or clear and shows the dirt and didn't stick very well.

A question for you. Why does it need replacing? Has it dried out and coming loose or is it just ugly from dirt sticking on it? I ask because mine is almost 9 years old and the caulk is dirty but not loose or anything.... Just curious if I am lucky or what.
Thanks.

Some of it is coming loose and a small part by the front cap is damaged from hitting tree limb.

I've always used a good self-leveling caulk for over 14 years on our rig with good results.

That's only for use on horizontal surfaces. It won't work around windows, doors or other vertical items.

Use ProFlex RV Flexible Sealant and has worked good for me.

Haven't had to seal on our new rig yet but on our last one I used Dicor products. Great stuff.

When installing replacement windows we only used OSI silicon. It had good adhesive properties but the kind we used only came in white or clear. Very easy to work with and even someone with no experience could make the application look good. I have also used the ProFlex brands and they are a good quality also.
