wet bolt install ?
I'm having them installed this week. I've read on here to have the zerk fittings face in instead of out so wheels don't have to be pulled to grease. Is there any fit problems with them seating properly facing in? Please advise pros or cons. Thanks, Ray

When I did mine, I faced them in. They seated most of the way and after about 300 miles, they are seated all the way.

On my 2008 340 RLQ, I have the zerks pointing outboard. With a grease gun having a flexible line, I have no trouble adding grease. I do not have to pull the wheels.

My zerks are facing out and the bolts seated without any problem.
If the zerks were facing in I think they would be easier to reach to grease and the nuts on the outside would be easier to keep an eye on to make sure they are tight and the bolts are not working themselves out.

Get 90 degree fittings and you will have no trouble greasing them.

thats right, there,s 90 and 45 degree zerks. one could probably make a remote site for the zerk. run a little tubing put zerk on the end and mount at EZ place to access

I installed mine with the zerks outward. Greased them at Quartzsite before leaving with no problem and do not have to crawl under the rig, all 12 took grease with ease.
All medium to heavy trailers other than RVs have the zerks outward for ease of greasing, otherwise they just don't get greased properly.
To conclude it would be each to their own desire when installing.

I'd rather grease from the inside and have a clear view of the nuts. A visual inspection will tell you if any are coming loose.

Mine face out, and I do think 90 degree zerks would help, but would have preferred facing in since there seems to be more room to work with on my rig. I haven't had to add grease yet, but it looks like things are going to be tight to work with. I think facing in would have worked better, but I'd have to look again to be sure.
Before taking your rig in, take a look at your existing suspension and take a look what would be the best position where the Zerks would be located, then ask them to set them up accordingly. Do you think this would work?

I do a visual inspection of the nuts a lot more than I grease the zerts. You would need to crawl under the rig to do the inspection. When I go under to grease, I also bring the torque wrench and check the u-bolts. This seems more practacle to me but again, like many things, it's personal preference and what works best for you.

I'm not sure but I would think it would be governed by miles traveled rather than time. I'll do them every 2 thousand miles unless someone has a reason to change that.

The manufacturer recommends every 3000 miles.
