It sure looks like it. They joined on 4/5, Posted, and have never returned. Perhaps the notification emails when others have posted were sufficient for the OP's needs?

Or posting on another forum? Do we know what forum?

Or posting on another forum? Do we know what forum?[/QUOTE]

I believe I saw it on FB, Cool RV Stuff Gismos and Gadgets. Yeah, I know, a lot of people ask for repair advice on that page which has nothing to do with the subject title.

Was it the OP of this thread that posted it?

We have a 2020 Montana 41’ and have had the sewer smell problem a few times. The new montanas don’t have a P trap in the bathroom sinks or the bathroom shower. They have what is called a bladder. My husband has had to replace our bladder in the shower once and is now replacing the bladder in one of our bathroom sinks. The bladder is literally like a rubber and it clogs up with soap, dead skin, and other things. They are disgusting. It smells like a rotten perm/raw sewage.

Inspect every waste pipe very closely for cracks or some of the great RV engineering that I actually had. Mine developed a bad smell inside, thought it was the air admittance valve but found that keystone decided it was a good idea to secure the back of the kitchen drawer support to the sewer vent pipe by screwing into it. After several thousand miles the screw came loose leaving a hole and bad odor.

I just replaced the Hepvo valve in our 21 3761FL because every time you ran hot water down either master bathroom sink it stunk very BAD. Seems to have helped, there is no air admittance valve on the rear sinks just the Hepvo valve in the basement under the sinks. I was debating if i wanted to install traps and an air admittance valve to resolve the stench, bit it would be a lot of work and so far seems to have subsided. I would have all of your tanks cleaned.
note the Hepvo valve for the shower is in the basement as well! You should see 20 degree difference with 2 of the AC's running depending on if the rig in in the sun or not. in our experience. Sounds like you have been having a nightmare. Well, there's nowhere to go but up from here! Lots of knowledgeable people on this site. Don't be afraid to ask questions. someone's seen the issue before. Good Luck

Sorry I managed to lose my way here but I’ve found this group again and have been reading your help for my problem. Life gets in the way for us too much and we pulled the camper out of storage yesterday in anticipation of a trip. At this point it’s been camped in twice. With the last time being Dec 21. Walking around the backend of the camper outside the order is still awful and when I opened the storage it would knock you down. The tanks are empty. I put an ozone machine in and closed it up and ran it several times over 2 days. Still there. This evening I climbed in the storage space with a bucket of Lysol water and wiped everything down. Noticed smell seemed stronger nearer the back. Had husband push the underbelly up and it seems the smell is coming from there because when he forced the air up by pushing it up and down it came from the spaces around the pipes. Now at a loss for the next step. Dealer told us not to attempt to drop underbelly. Said we would never get it back in place. Husband isn’t physically able to do the work he used to be able to do so is it really that bad a job before we tear into it or are they just wanting us to bring it in for a huge bill? I would think after all this time any smell would have dissipated so I was really bummed when we pulled it out of storage and the same smell was there strong as ever.

Camper - there is a certified RV Inspector in Pikeville. Contact this guy and talk to him about your issues. Maybe he can come inspect the RV and make recommendations for your next move. Perhaps some of the items can be dealt with by you and your husband. You may need him to address the bigger issues. I have no idea how much the initial inspection will cost - but it might be the best money you can spend toward correcting the issues. Call him then come back here and report. There is lots of help here - but you need to stay enganged in the discussion. Everybody here has issues with their RV. Don’t push your RV over a cliff just yet.

Camper, if you are not able to do the work yourselves, I would hire an RV Tech to investigate and remediate the problem.

I was watching attorney Steve Lehto on YT and he had a video on buying RV's a couple months ago and I think this one would fit perfectly into this category.
he said most people spend less than 21 days using their RV in a year.
With the price of RV's it might be smarter to rent the RV, first to find out if you even like doing this, and second you can just return it without any of the maintenance hassles. at 100,000+ for fifth wheels, this really can make sense.
If you find that you love it, then buy if you really want to own, but check and see if you can find one used where somebody else worked out the bugs, and took the big hit in depreciation.

Assuming it is a black tank leak or some other source and you get that source fixed...
There is a product called Odo-Ban that you can purchase from Lowe's or Home Depot. It is a concentrated liquid in gallon jug, or you can buy a spray bottle that is pre-mixed and ready to use. This works very well for removing smells from carpet and upholstery. We got turned on to it when my daughter daughter was very young and spent a long period of time in the hospital. The hospital used it back then and it was only commercially available. Now you can get it at several different retailers.
