Something worth noting, the generator space is open to the outside (slots in the floor, and open gaps between the gen space and the propane compartments). The generator compartment also has openings into the space under the basement floor. These gaps allow outside air to infiltrate the conditioned air space, lowering the efficiency of your HVAC system. Fill these gaps with foam weatherstrip, foil tape, and/or spray foam. Insulation board over the steel floor would help too.

I did cover that in an earlier post and closed all openings, it was also a path for mice. You can order black expanding foam like what keystone used, also at Lowe's. I gave it a light test both from inside and outside the compartments. I used knockout plugs with silicone between propane compartment, tape, steel wool and expanding foam else where. I think I got them all, except between the underbelly,I left that open so the compartment stays conditioned. As you can see in the pic evidence of mice, not a bad idea to close up the holes even if your not converting to storage.

I like what you've done with your gen space. When we got ours in Oct. 2017, I added good carpet and use the space for DEF, extra LP sits in a plastic milk crate, small grill, & fire starter stuff. Still plenty of room above that for shelving for what you said. Great job. Many of us will steal your ideas

The first & a must have item for the new generator space! Just received the Ryobi 1800 psi portable pressure washer. It seems to have just enough pressure, interchangeable nozzles, soap tank & everything breaks down & stores on board. It will fit into a 13 x 15 x 14 box with all accessories, just need to find a plastic bin now. What I like is it is only 1.2 gpm so it wont use tons of water, I just used it to clean our other camper & it works great & has a 3 year warranty. It is also very quiet so for cleaning up at the campsite it should not be annoying.

Found a great spot for broom and mop, also going to put the flag pole and cleaning brush up there.

Great job, how did you remove the sheet metal? Is it screwed in?

Hi, thanks it came out fairly easy, they must of used 10 tubes of silicone though. It’s alot of space to waste and i will never put a generator in there anyway. Planning a generator/ fuel tank build for the back of the truck.
