Birds nest in pin box
What is everyone doing to cover/plug the back side of the pin box to eliminate birds from nesting in the pin box?

same o, same o
Same problem I just cut a piece of Styrofoam to fit tight to the back of the pin box but left enough room to stuff the power cord in there now the birds just try to build a nest on top of the pin box and peck at the back up mirror on the camper, what a mess. Bird spikes next.

I formed sheet aluminum to fit over the back and the bottom. So when sitting still for any time, on with the cover. Eggs are too small for an egg sandwich...

One large pool noodle cut to size and double stacked does it for me. Compression fit.
Only problem now is they nest in the front door alcove over my security light and I have to keep it off so it doesn't fry the little ones when motion activated.

I may try setting an owl on top of pinbox. it is the most decorative option so far.

I just chased a sparrow homesteading in ours. I have some sheet metal that I'll J-B Weld some rare earth magnets on along with bolting on a handle. I something similar to this on our past SOB when a robin took up house keeping.

Birds in hitch
We are lazy I guess. We just stow the cord and stuff the opening with plastic shopping bags. Birds hate the crackle sound and it's easy to throw and go.

We cut a rectangular section of chicken wire and when we store the Rig, I flex it slightly to get past the nuts on the bolts and it springs into place and stays in place. When we get ready to hook up, I pop out the screen, put it in the front cabinet and off we go. takes less than 10 secs to install or remove. When you set up camp it gets popped back in place after I stow the power cord in the neck.
