Sliding couch
My couch is on the side of the LR slide out. When we go over bumps, etc it slides forward. I drove it 10 miles to storage and back in the last 6 weeks and found it forward a foot or so. I don't think I hit any bumps or made any fast stops, so am confused by this.
Anyway, has anyone tried to put some sort of stopper on the floor? I was thinking of putting down a small angle iron strip in front of the couch and wondered if anyone had other or better ideas on this?????
Thanks.

My couch is just screwed to the floor through the wood on the inside under the fold out bed.

I have furniture slider doodads under our couch as we move it from the slide out to the rear when parked for a while. That really increased the frequency of couch movement when going down the road. The solution we use is doorstops (the removable kind) Place a couple under the front and side and the couch will stay in place.

If you screw it to the floor you need to use short screws to they don't go through the bottom of the slide Carl had a better ideal.

I switched (wife's preference) my sofa and rockers in my rig many years ago. My rockers started in the back wall and sofa on the slide. They both "walked" all over the place. I screwed and strapped my sofa to the floor on the back wall. It worked extremely well. I agree with BuilderBob on using shorter screws on the slide floor.
