Yahoo e-mail problems

I go to my email, they want me to change the password, they write that my email may have been compromised.
I change my password, now I can't get in.
Frustrating.
Is your yahoo I.D. the same as your email name? Probably not, but I don't remember what it was.
I filled the form out, but if they contact me by e-mail.....I can't access it.
Frustrating.

EDIT; Finally kicked in. I think most of my problems are that other than Vampires, I don't think anyone else but me get's up as early as I do.... I got 6 emails from Yahoo when they finally woke up.

Thanks on the Gmail suggestion, I am signed up. When I was importing addresses it asked for my password, I entered the new one and it took. That's how I knew my Yahoo was working again..
Now I have two accounts, probably will forget all the password info now..

Open a gmail or hotmail account and give that address to Yahoo. They should be able to send you the login and a temporary password that you can then reset once you access your Yahoo mail. Should work?????

Never depend on one email addy, 2 probably should do. I won't fess up here how many I really have, its more than 1 and more than 2.

Ozz, there are programs and such that are great for storing passwords. I have most of mine hidden behind, ya, a password protected, wall. BUT, I only need to remember ONE password for mega bunches of accounts.

Even word processors will let you password protect a file, again, only one password to remember.

So, write em down, but password protect the list.

I have all my passwords stored on a rolladex. However, they are all former street addresses. So if I lived in New York and my street address was 2620 and I lived in Washington and the street address was 9482, my password would be 26209482...but in my rolladex it would say..."NY/Wash."

I have a yahoo and a gmail account. All my yahoo mail goes automatically into my gmail so I only have to check one account. Maybe in 10 years I will stop getting yahoo mail as I only send out with gmail.

Here is an idea for passwords. Use the same base such as 'zombi9' and then add the first or last letter of the account the password is for. For instance if you had a password for a bank called Montana the password could be mzombi9, or a bank called bighorn it would be bzombi9. This it makes it much easier to remember and basically there is only one password to remember. Obviously I use a different base word but it really help me as I seem to have too many to remember.

I had no problem with my password, just had to change it because they said my account was compromised (probably a big fat lie.) I changed it, then it was locked out until the slugs at Yahoo sobered up and came to work. Then all was well.
