Greeting all; 2022 HC 295: I need to replace our broken (probably a tree branch) Winegard 360 antenna. Apparently, there is an upgraded Winegard Air 360+ 5G available for replacement. Has anyone done this or know if the 5G unit is a direct bolt on replacement?
Thanks for any help.
Jack

I've only had the 360+ 4G but I would imagine that the footprint is the same. However, it doesn't really matter. The coax connection will be the same. Once the new unit is screwed down to the roof some self-leveling sealant will cover any potential differences. The rest of the wires in the unit will be for Wifi and Cell reception. You can use their router, which is made to wire directly to the roof unit, or do your own thing, as I did...just takes a little more planning.

Either way the swap out should be easy and painless.

I upgraded to the 5G version this year while doing a roof upgrade to Flexarmor. The antenna is same footprint and is compatible with the GW-1000 gateway. To take advantage of the 5G capabilities, you will also have to upgrade the gateway. I am using the 5G antenna with my existing GW-1000 gateway and have no issues.

Thanks for responses; exactly what I needed and assumed would be coming from this site=lots of good info.
