I had a 2014 RAM 2500 Cummins for 103K miles. Then the trans quit. Bought a GMC Duramax 2500 and I am really enjoying it now. The Standard bed is long enough that I don't have to use a specialized kingpin to allow sufficient turning radius. Buy what you like and will do the job for you. My RAM was a Tradesman with all the upgrades needed without all the Package extras. My GMC has all the bells and whistles many of which I don't use. Both trucks were 4X4 as that option added many suspension upgrades as well as the ability to get out of sticky situations. I had to use 4WD while at Quartzite one time just to get out of the gravel in the parking area near the big tent and I was not even towing.
I have the GMC and use all the bells and whistles! I set the cruse control in tow mode and turn on the engine brake and drive via a button on the steering wheel. While monitoring the truck and trailer tires. Love this truck.

What do you pull your Montana, Mountaineer, High Country, Big Sky or Cambridge, Montana Legacy, Montana Residential, fifth wheel with?

Dodge hasn't built a truck since 2009.

I pull with a RAM 3500 DRW.

Upgraded the truck to a new 2025 GMC Denali 2500 with the max tow package, which is a 3500 frame, rearend and springs. Higher load rating and tow weight, which I feel better about.

Chevy.GMC. 31.4%
Dodge/Ram. 28.4%
Ford. 39.8%

Since this poll began over 10 years ago, no doubt many have bought new or newer trucks and may or may not still own the same brand. Would be interesting to see the poll data cleared and new and current votes casts to see today’s trends.
