I have always used Trojan 6V batteries but they are getting really expensive.
I can get a T105 which has around 220 AH rating for around $240. I can also get Duracell batteries for around $155 with 230AH rating.
I think I have always got 5 years or more from the Trojans. A side-note - I think I will stop RVing after 2026, so maybe longevity is not a consideration.

I am just afraid of getting a Duracell and have it go bad after 12 months.... Any input would be appreciated.

I had good luck with the Costco 6V batteries. 7 years on each set. I moved to Lithium this time as the cost is almost identical for equivalent capacity (6V at 220 Amps = 110 Amps usable (50%). - Lithium 100 Amps = almost 100 Amps usable (no 50% limit). Buy a 200 Amp Lithium and you are way ahead capacity-wise.

Costco's availability seems to vary by location, but our Costco started carrying Interstate GC2 batteries for about $100 each. I think I'll switch away from lead acid after our current set dies, but for now ~$400 for a set is pretty good.

I bought my Duracell GC2 batteries over 4 years ago and they're still going strong. I have only needed to add distilled water twice in that time and I keep them charged as much as possible.

I think the lithium batteries in that price range are only around 105-120 AH. Too lazy to look it up again, tho.. LOL

There are still some good deals on lithium batteries, but tariffs might change that. I purchased two 300 Ah LiFePO4 batteries https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BXSSHW5V for $347 each, and they are currently back at that price. So far, they have worked well. These in particular are slightly bigger than the standard lead acid battery form factor, but they also do not need to be closed and vented like lead acid, so you have options on how you want to install them.

Here is how our installation ended up looking after removing the battery box and riveting tie downs/supports for the two lithium batteries...

I went with Duracell at (I think) around 230 AH and $155 with discount. I am probably only keeping the rig thru 2026, so won't need batteries after that!! LOL I don't boondock, so heavy battery use is not needed.
