Members shared their visions for the perfect 5th wheel, focusing on both comfort and practicality. Popular suggestions included a king-sized bed with dual nightstands and power outlets, a fully self-contained master bathroom, smooth shower walls for easy cleaning, and wide entry doors for hassle-free furniture removal. Many emphasized the importance of “road mode” access to key areas like the bathroom and fridge when slides are in, as well as well-lit, light-colored storage compartments and... More...

I've watched dozens and dozens of YOUTUBE videos touring different RV models (not just 5th wheels) and I am always able to pick out where the designers got so close to getting a particular feature right, but then DROPPED THE BALL, walked away and left it a Half-azzed FLOP. So here, in NO particular order, are some features that I see as "Perfect" for any RV, but particularly 5th wheels:
1. KING sized bed is the standard.
2. Dual identically-sized night stands, minimum 10" wide, at bed height, with power & USB plugs
3. Master Bathroom is completely self contained. (NO sinks or showers in the bedroom!)
4. Master Bathroom has ONE sink.
5. Shower walls are smooth for easy use of a squeegee. (No ripples or textures)
6. Entry door must be wide enough to remove any furniture or appliance with ease. (Why not 36"?)
7. Twin electric theater recliners with heat and massage facing the TV directly. (Standard!)
8. ROAD MODE (all slides IN) MUST allow 100% access to the Bathroom, Bedroom and Fridge.
9. ALL storage compartments and cabinets must have light-colored paint AND LIGHTS. (NO dark unlit compartments.)
10. EASY access to the water pump, batteries, hydraulic pump, dump valves, etc. (For instance, the Montana galley gray tank pull handle is tucked under a slide and the umbilical for that slide. BAD LOCATION!)

I would welcome suggestions for other features that you would love in your next 5th wheel.

Here's my contribution:
1. Moryde independent suspension
2. Disc brakes
3. All ACs be Furrion Chill Cube, or Turbro variable speed units
4. Make AC & heating ducts larger (deeper)
5. Use the fold down teak wood shower seats rather than the seats molded into the fiberglass taking excessive space
6. Better insulation, walls, ceiling, & floor
7. Use temperature balance shower faucets, this is good with tank type water heaters, even better with tankless
8. Build with king size bed platform, sell without mattress. Let buyer buy the type they want; ie foam, innerspring, air; save us the indignity of getting rid of the OEM mattress.
9. For front bed models, make the wet bay access door a smaller door that swings to the side to prevent bumping your head on the upswing door that doesn't open very far.
10. Install electronic door locks
11. Up the furniture game; comfort and coverings. Use a durable fabric covering or upgrade to real leather, no more pleather.
12. Make LG OLED TVs standard equipment

I think when purchasing a brand new camper the entry door should actually shut and seal from rain and wind! Yea! Before jumping in with everything on these lists, JUST the already existing known problems need to be done right in the first place! I'm not kidding about the door. We had to have BOTH entry doors replaced when the camper was BRAND NEW!

King size sleep number bed
sliding shower door, got rid of the glass one!
Dimmers on the kitchen and living room ceiling puck lights.
Solar system, so its like any day when we aren't on shore power.
Disc brakes and 8k axles. stops on a dime, don't ask me how I know (Chicago traffic)
New entry railing
