Wet floor under the fridge and adjacent cabinets

Hi,


We have a 2007 3295RK with the kitchen slideout on the right hand side of the RV. In the cabinet structure, there is a panel at the bottom of the fridge that doesn't appear to cover anything other than a cavity. The pots & pans cabinet to the right is damp in the back left corner. The trash cabinet to the left is damp in the back right corner.


I want to open the panel (see attached photo) to dry out that cavity. Does anyone know a good technique besides the BFH?



Removing the outside access panels reveals the area behind the fridge is dry.



We purchased the RV this past summer when the weather was dry, so we didn't realize anything was leaking.



Has anyone see this issue? And is there a good fix?

Not famiiliar with your model, but if the slide has a four inch plastic pannel across it on the outside, look for breaks in the seal. If it has that type of construction, it's necessary to monitor it and pull out the old seal and replace with new sealant after 3 or 4 years.

Many have removed that panel to create extra storage space. There are electrical lines and propane line hidden back there. But they are near the rear. A door of similar style and color finishes it off. That center panel is held by staples. A little tiny hammer is all it takes to dislodge it.

Another common source of water in that area is the drain hose in the back of your refrigerator. The original hose is thin corrugated plastic. It cracks and falls apart over time, or pulls off of the nipple on the back of the refrigerator. To test if that is the source of your water have someone pour water in the drip pan in the back of your refrigerator while someone else observes the drain hose from the outside. Removing the bottom vent behind your refrigerator on the exterior of your 5'er will give you a good observation point.
I replaced mine with heavier plastic clear hose like you see on a humidifier drain.
