Members overwhelmingly recommend waiting to measure the washer/dryer space in your 2021 Keystone Montana High Country 385BR before making a purchase, as RV laundry closets are typically designed for standard RV units like the Splendide, which is about 23.5" wide and fits most pre-plumbed spaces. Several RVers confirm that Splendide models are the most common and reliable fit, with some sharing personal installation experiences—one even brought a washer in through a window due to tight... Hey we just bought a 2021 keystone Montana high country 385br and were wondering what size washer and dryer we can fix in there. I’ve got one picked out that’s 24wide but it’s 33 tall and we don’t know if it’ll fit. (Can’t measure cause it’s still at the dealership a couple hours away) and I can’t find anything but the 24inches wide online. Anything helps! Thank y’all in advance

The Splendide in my Montana... and thousands of other RV's is 23.5" wide.

I have it imagine that if you have a washer / dryer prep 24" wide will fit. You should be fine at 33" tall.

My Splendides fit with a little room on each side. I did not do the install myself, so I don’t know how tight of a fit it was squeezing the units into the closet. Based on my reading of various forums, Splendide is the most common units used in RVs. I have seen other makers mentioned from time to time. Conclusion: Splendides will fit in your unit. You will need to know the rough opening dimensions before selecting units by someone other than Splendide just to make sure you can get them in place without (say) removing face trim.

If you don't have the exact measurements, then don't purchase anything until you have actual possession of the camper. The last thing you want to do is purchase a washer / dryer just to find out it's too big.

Unless the space is specifically created for a larger machine, it's more likely designed to fit the standard Splendid washer / dryer. There might not be enough space for a stackable either, which means you will only be able to get a combo washer/dryer.

So, my advise is, make the drive and scope it out if you want to purchase something right now. The drive and time will cost you a lot less than purchasing now, getting the wrong size, and then attempt to correct everything with a proper size.

Or, simply wait until you have actual possession of the camper.

Are you planning on installing it yourself, or have your dealership do it before you take delivery of the new camper?

Click here for Splendide washing machine / dryer stats for both stackable / combo / vented / and not vented.

The "download" Stats link will give you size of opening required and the dimensions of each unit.

For the vented dryer, you'll need to add about 5 more inches to the actual cabinet depth. If you don't have space behind the dryer, there is no room for the dryer vent hose.

That’s what Keystone install in their rigs (ours).

Not sure if you're talking about a combo or stackable. If your coach is pre-plumbed then the space will be standard "RV" washer requirement. I wouldn't go to COSTCO and buy a washer and expect it to fit unless you measure. My coach was pre-plumbed for a stackable so I bought the splendide when Camping World was running a sale. I did the installation my self from start to finish, it wasn't super easy but very DOABLE. Saved a ton of $$ which CW wanted to charge. I did a video and posted it on YouTube if you're into that stuff @RetiredandRollin. Cutting through the wall for the vent was scary, but again very doable. If you go to the channel it was done 4 years ago, so it was one of my first videos. Hope it helps you.

Just installed the Model #WM3499HVA
tonight, didn't finish installing also needing the 90 deg hose. very tight fit had to remove door and hinge along with trim on the one side.

My washer closet is in the bedroom in my unit. Because bringing it through the bedroom door would have meant i remove a lot of both sides of the door jamb.

I with the help of a couple of buddies backed the truck up to the bedroom Egress window and brought it in through the window.

let you know how it works soon
