TV switching question

We have a TV in the living room and want to send the AT&T u-verse signal to the kitchen, (don't want to buy another receiver, just watch the same program as the main TV)
Can I just plug a HDMI cable into the TV, if it has an output, and get the same signal?
(In our sticks and bricks) ... but we have no bricks..

Ozz, I assume you are talking U-verse? If so, as long as you have a long enough HDMI cable to go from the output on the TV in the living room to the kitchen television you are good to go. Thanks Jim, I don't have a HDMI out labeled connection, so I did not know if that would work. So all the ports are 'Hot' when connected?
I will get another HDMI cable, I bought a 25 footer on the Internet to connect my security camera monitor to get a better picture, I can't tell the difference, but my vision isn't what it used to be.

ahh, the splitter is probably what I need, thanks. I didn't even know they made one. U-verse wants you to buy another unit, can't blame them for that, but it looks like your idea is what I need.

Your welcome Oz and let us know how it works. In the mean time I think you could hook a regular coax up to the coax output (to TV) on the back of the U-verse box and then on the TV. Picture quality won't be as good as HDMI but it ain't bad. Jim
