We have a 2017 3720RL Legacy. I am in the process of having new tires installed. They are currently load range G, although I'm not satisfied with the wear on the tread. I have ordered Trans Eagle ST 235/80R 16 Load range H. Is anyone familiar with this tire? Are they dependable?
Thanks,
Rusty Mefford

I installed a set of Transeagle 235/85R16 load range G all steel over a year ago. They replaced a set of load range F that self destructed (air bubbles on all sidewalls) even though rig originally called for load range E.

Because if covid, we only used the rig 3 times for short trips since the install. So far, very satisfied. Before I purchased, I asked Simple Tire if they were the same as Sailun. They told me they used the same construction, but Transeagle had a higher speed rating (82 mph)...I usually drive between 55 and 60 mph.

Planning 2 longer trips, one in June and a 3,000 mile Black Hills/Yellowstone trip in August/September. Feel confident that they will perform well. Have tpms and just had wheel alignment, so we're good to go!

What G range tires were installed? What is the wear problem you are concerned about.

The specs I was able to find on the Trans Eagle "H" tires show a lower weight (and speed?) rating than the G rated Sailun 637's.
