We have decided to store our Big Sky in Casa Grande area instead of Colorado this winter in hopes of spending a February in the warmth. I'm just going to blow out the lines and put a little pink drink in the P-trap's. Is there anything we should know about bug/critter control in the rig as this desert stuff is new to us. Any other suggestions would be most helpful. Thanks,Bud

If you have a washer, I'm not sure how successful blowing out the lines will be as there will most likely be water left in the pump.

Go to Accuweather.com and check out the winter temp history. We live in NW Arizona close to Bullhead City and have never had to winterize our monty. The low this morning in NW AZ was 52. Last year, we got all the way down to 40. Check with other folks who have lived there.

I live where I do because as I came south with a snow shovel strapped to my rear ladder, someone there asked what that was. I figured I had gone far enough.:D:D:D

One thing to consider in AZ is the lack of humidity. Folks who store here in the summer have buckets of water replaced in their rig on a regular basis, don't know if you need to do that in the winter or not. It's to save the woodwork.

Another idea after learning the hard way. Put extra water in your toilet bowl and wrap the top with plastic wrap. This will keep your water in the bowl from evaporating and drying up, therefore keeping your toilet seal/gasket in good shape.

We live in Casa Grande and have never winterized any RV since we started RVing in 2008. When we leave our house for extended times we have 5 gallon buckets of water everywhere. By the time we return there is nothing left in them. We've never had any problem with bugs or critters. You might want to put some UV protector like aerospace 303 on your tires. Rubber will dry out. You can put some of the silver reflective stuff you buy in a roll on your inside windows to protect the fabric from the sun. If I can help with anything else, since we live here, let us know.
