I came home today to find three broken outriggers on the MHC 331RL. Two on the driver side and one broken on the passenger side. All three are under the slideouts. I reached out to Lippert customer service and started a claim with a customer number. I wonder if they will back their product and send me outriggers? Then the task of getting the walls plumb and getting new outriggers welded in. What a pain!

If you are referring to the jacks, electric or hydraulic, they are typically bolted on. Did the mounts themselves break off?

I'm not referring to jacks. The actual "outriggers" on the side of the frame are breaking off. Lippert did a crappy job of material selection and welding and these are failing.

That happened to us on a previous 5th wheel. We had to take the unit into Lippert for them to re-weld and brace the outriggers. I really don't think Lippert will send them to you because it's a safety and structural item. I HIGHLY recommend you take the unit into Lippert and do as they say if that's the case. I also recommend that Keystone get involved because if the breakage is only under the slides, there could be something else going on. Did the sides of the 5th wheel drop down? Also reach out to Keystone at 866-425-4369 and at www.ownerrelations@keystonerv.com, send pictures and talk to them. Keystone might want you to bring the unit to them. DEFINITELY not a fix you should do yourself because if anything goes wrong, you could be stuck with no help.

I received a response from Lippert today. They decided to deny my claim since our unit is 6 years old. Sad that they can't stand behind their product. I'm having new outriggers welded in this weekend.

Can you send photos. I find this interesting. Thanks.

Call me ignorant, what exactly is an outrigger, if not the leveling jack?

The part that sticks out that is welded to the outside of the frame that your floor would bolt to

This is correct. I will post a pic. You should NOT see daylight where that attaches to the frame!

The triangular things cantilevered off the main frame on both sides…screen shot below.

I have the 330RL and I had the same issue and my dealer worked with Lippert to replace them under warranty! Good luck!

You happy with what they did. I decided I don't want Lippert crap under my residential fridge any longer! See my follow up for my solution.

Welded in 5 new outriggers today. Replaced four over the axles and added one extra under the residential fridge. Also added weld to three of the existing Lippert outriggers that I kept in place. This was an eleven hour project and I still need to put the wheels back on. I feel like this will be a vast improvement.

So far so good. The dealer took care of everything and improved the installation over what Lippert required. They want it back in November for an inspection.

I wrote to Lippert and they denied my claim. They said it was 6 years old but it's a 2019 just like yours. They knew the age of the camper but had me do a couple hours of pics and info in about 4 separate emails, then they waited 72 hours and said they couldn't help. Pretty disappointing when you pay so much for these and the frame literally falls apart driving down the road.

I'm not bitter though. My repair today is 100% better than the gage steel crap that they would have used and I know it's better now than when it came from the factory.
