I am thinking about a newer truck probably a 2021 ot 22 f350 short bed. I have a 2021 3120 rl do you think I would need a sliding hitch or not?

I had a 2011 F250 short bed. Had the slider and forgot to slide it once. Busted the rear window, put dent in roof on a right hand turn. If you are going to stay with a short bed, I would recommend a slider. Have one sitting in my garage for a turnover ball setup. lol Go with the slider, much safer.

I have a slider hitch, some people say you don't need one if your careful me personally I would put a slider hitch in, it would only take one time to bust a rear window or damage your cab. One time too many for me.

I have a 2019 F350 Short bed. I use the Pullrite slider. It is heavy to put into the truck. The Ford Puck system works great with it. I would buy it again.

I towed for a number of years with a short box. I didn’t want a slider hitch because it was too heavy for me to remove when needed. I just thought I could be careful enough to avoid problems. The second time the RV hit the truck was enough. There is just too much stuff to watch when backing up to be preoccupied with how much angle is too much. I highly recommend the Pullrite slider. It’s very expensive and very heavy, but it just has to save the truck cab and RV cap once to make it worthwhile.

Pullrite slider for sure. You don’t have to unlock or lock for it to slide. It slides on a Cam type mechanism. About a 14 inch slide which moves the rig away from your rear cab. You have to get used to the slight delay when backing up do to the slide.

I have had a pullrite since 2006. Works great. Just be aware that you can't hook or unhook at more than 15 degree angle. (I think it is 15 degrees - some small angle anyway)

I find it real hard not to pay attention to where my fifth wheel is to the cab , it’s kinda right there to see , plus the fact I just know how much I can turn when backing . There are just two things I am aware of , where the cab is , and the back end of the fifth wheel.
