Hello everyone, today I was checking the top of my 3790RD slide as i was putting it in for any debri that might be on top, and i noticed that one bolt and the rest that hold the gearbox to frame were all almost all the way out of wall. We have owned this a couple of years now and have only had slides out a couple dozen times..anyhow the person we bought it from replaced both of the slideout gearboxes before we bought it. My question is before I try to repair it does anyone know what kind of framework they are screwed into, I'm pretty sure they pulled out because something was not installed correctly, the other side looks fine. I was thinking that if I can't use same holes a couple make a metal base plate and then attach gearbox to that and screw it into wall, just not sure how space behind paneling i have to work with? Thanks

One of our members had an issue with the pullies pulling off the wall. He bolted a plate to the wall then mounted the pullies to the plate.
Maybe something similar would work for remounting the motor?

Brackets

I had a friend with the same issue on a Cougar. The cable slides are most likely manufactured by BAL. This apparently is a common problem because they make a reinforcement bracket kit that you can install. It has studs that the existing bracket fastens to. They cost about $50 and you get both the left and right side. I would call them to verify fitment with your slide and ask if the slide has to be removed to install these. It appears that the bracket wraps the corner of the jamb opening. Or maybe this part can be removed. On my friends, the right side of the slide dropped enough and ripped the flooring so the they took the slide out anyway to replace the floor.
Here’s the link, and best of luck!

Just realized your issue is the motor bracket not the pulley. Sorry about that, but maybe the prior post will be helpful for someone with the cable bracket issue.
