I would like to clean the rollers on my slide outs.
First question: what are the rollers made of? They look like nylon but I can't be sure.
Second question: what can I use to clean them?

These rollers by Lippert are nylon…and I checked a few others on Amazon and they were nylon also.
I would use Spraway glass cleaner or Simple Green. You will probably need to jack the slide up a bit to get the weight off the rollers so you can turn them for cleaning.

I believe the trade name is “Delryn”, a more durable form on nylon. It’s available from Amazon and is machinable.

Separate from cleaning, If I were to install additional rollers on my LR slide, do they also require a rubber device that acts as a tensioner?

I think the rollers are a static unit attached to the frame with no moving parts except the roller. I think there may be slots for adjustment up or down…but there is no tensioner.

Is there a good method for jacking up the slide without damaging or bending it? Do I need to run a support beam end to end, with a jack at each end? I tried jacking up one end but never could get good separation between the roller and slider bottom. Seems very heavy. Didn’t want to jack it up too far up and cause damage
