Sidewall Crack At Corner of Front Bedroom Slide

So, 2019 3121RL Monday this week I was looking at the silicone on the right front of my fifth well and it looked like it was pulled away a tad??? Tuesday thru Friday took a 400 mile round trip and had an issue with my front slide then upon further reinspection I noticed a bulge in the left front lower corner just in front of bedroom slide that was not there on Monday...after reading the above posts I am uncertain what route to take? Is this something Keystone is not covering if our of warranty or are they willing to do it?? This seems major to me?? Any suggestions on who to call or ???
That's an expansion joint. Looks like the molding fell off.

There is an actual bulge that is physically pushed out and the rest of silicone is all pulled away. Clearly in person you can really see there is a serious issue with that wall supports.

Common frame flex issue. I just had mine fixed at Affinity along with my crowned floor issue in the kitchen slideout in June. Still having some problems with some of the work that Affinity did. On my way back to Indiana from Maryland to get Rod at Affinity to fix some items that weren’t fixed correctly on the initial repairs in June. I’m hoping I get better service from Affinity this time around. I had to book my June appointment back in September because that was their first available date. They had my unit for two weeks and still didn’t get it done correctly. We’re full timers so this wasn’t a good experience for us after reading all the great reviews about Affinity.

Rhortie1, Appreciate the info. May I inquire as to which route you went for your repair? Was it an insurance claim, out of pocket or did Keystone have any assistance? What type of money were you looking at for the repair??

I was at the Montana rally last September and had the keystone rep approve most of my repairs under warranty. I paid out of pocket for the wear bar replacement, linoleum repair and recover of the bottom of the kitchen slide out with new darco fabric. I was later able to get Keystone to agree to reimburse me for that part($2400). Still waiting on a check from Keystone. I’m not sure what the cost of frame flex repair and crown floor fix.

Frame flex

You have frame flex!!! Just had my rv repaired at affinity rv in Goshen. These guy are the experts on this problem. They work very close with keystone. Mine was out of warranty and keystone picked up the bill. If you have to pay it will be between $5000-8000 depending if you have full body paint. Also affinity is excellent with helping you experts will look at pictures and help you. Also mine was opened up like yours and there were three brakes. Most important thing is to weather seal the cracks until repairs are made. Also safe to drive but affinity willl advise you on that.

There is probably a good rv body shop out west that could do the work. But just be welding the frame where it broke won’t do it. It will brake again. Please the attached picture of my rig. You can see how it was fixed by adding angle bracing. Hope this helps

Rnjmurray,
Out of curiosity how long ahead of time did you make an appointment before they got it in? How long did you have to leave it at Affinity?

Side wall crack

I was there in June and they were booking into 2025. Mine was a mess and I waited 10 months. The good new is you can drive the rig. When I discovered the problem I was in California. So I drove back to Texas then to Indiana. They will look at your pictures and advise you. If you have full body paint they need it about 3 weeks. If you don’t have full body paint about a week. They may tell a little long to give them wiggle room. Generally they will work with. The actual repair is done in about 2 days. The rest of the time is putting all back together. Remember they have to take off the side and front cap.if they submit it to keystone for reimbursement that can take a week plus they have to send all kind measurements. Mine was out of warranty and keystone was very helpfull.
