Scary

I live off an interstate that is a major route for snowbirds heading to Florida from the Northeast. I see this kind of stuff heading south at speed in the left lane, tailgating people often this time of the year. The mud flap is dragging, the chains are dragging, the hitch is bending from the weight, and the idiot is thinking, "We only have another 1500 miles to go, It`ll make it". This is another example of why I follow no one towing anything.

OMG, that is literally just waiting to come all apart. Grossly overloaded. Curious if you pointed out the obvious to the owner. I would have

Is that hitch bent down permanently or is it the frame that's bent?
My dad's 2 5/16 hitch is bent down and I let him know. He told me it was just fine. He's been using the same hitch since I was a kid 40 years ago. It doesn't quite look the same. I assume that with time, bumps, overweight etc. they wear like anything else.
