Sailun S637T cold tire pressures

Something that hasn't been said is, older Montana rigs did not come with wheels rated to handle 110 psi tires, so the wheel rated pressure should not be exceeded, regardless of what the maximum pressure the tire is rated at.

I actually gave that some thought and figured I would stay at the 90psi I'm running although I'm really not sure what 2005 Monty's had for wheels and their ratings.

There should be a PSI rating on the wheel itself. Usually on the side facing inward so as not to show outside.

Our 2955 was newer, 2010 but did have 110 psi rims. Crawl under and should be on one of the spokes of the wheel.

If you purchased Sailun S 637 ??

from who - ??

did you have any issues if purchase online (Walmart/ SimpleTire / )
install will be by Discount Tires...

January 2023.....will purchase -
5 replacement tires (235/85/R16)for my 2011 Montana.

Goodyear G614 on it now since 2016
had Michelin XPS Ribs prior to that 4/2011 - 9/2016 blow out)

I bought ours from Les Schwab here in the Northwest. Discount should be able to mount and balance them. Be sure to keep them inflated , I use 105 PSI

Our last set of Sailuns was purchased from Les Schwab and also balanced and installed by them. Not sure why you would take them to another tire dealer for installation.

I've purchased from SimpleTire twice now and had them installed locally by Tire Outlet. I couldn't find a source for these tires locally with installation. We also have Discount Tire, but the Tire Outlet store was closest to me, so it was the first one I called. About $20 per tire mount and balanced, IIRC.
The tires are quite heavy and stiff sidewall, so make sure when you check about installation you mention the size and type of tire to be sure that they can handle getting them mounted without damage and that they can balance them correctly.

I bought my last set online from Walmart, drop shipped to my home, and had Discount Tire (aka Americas Tire Store) install and balance them.

Several local independent dealers in our area had better pricing than the big corporate dealers. Better service too. As mine had to be replaced under recall.

Check with your local/small independent tire dealers for best deals on Sailuns.

Confusing

I agree it is confusing running Sailun tires on a lighter rig but none of the threads I have read say anything about the rims. Most rims have a stamp on the inside and must are max PSI 110 pounds. If you set the cold pressure to 110 PSI by the time you are on the road for a while your PSI is 120PSI or more. Is the rim pressure just a suggestion also? I also have 2021 295RL High Country with the G rated Sailun tires run at 90 PSI cold.

Isn’t a suggestion but the increase in pressure is taken into account when the wheels are made. You will not have a problem running at 110 pounds.
