Sagging Floor in front of Refrigerator

I have a 2021 Montana High Country 331RL which I purchased used in May and snapped a cable the first time I used it in July. While I was walking back and forth in front of the slide, I noticed the floor was sagging really bad in front of the refrigerator and stove. I have read a couple of other strings with people having the same issue and sounds like the support brackets are breaking or bending under the weight of the slide.

I have reached out to Keystone and they informed me it was out of warranty. They said I need to have a certified dealer diagnose the problem, but they could not guarantee they would participate in any repairs.

Anyone else have this issue out there and if so, any satisfaction form Keystone?

Although our fridge is not on a slide but instead is located on the rear wall of the trailer. Our 3901RK is a 2023 and like some other rear kitchen models, we saw a bit of sagging directly under the front feet of the refrigerator. I went into the basement area and reinforced the flooring using 2x4's bridged across the aluminum structure. I don't know how your slide is built but I'd run the slide out and see how it is reinforced under the fridge. You may need to remove the underbelly covering to be able to see how it is built. I would see if I can install some structure directly under the fridge. Rectangular aluminum tubing is very strong and can be found on the internet, even Amazon. It's easy to cut and you can bolt it into place using self tapping screws... no need to weld it.

jmrimar - this is a rough sketch of the floor structure in front of your fridge (fridge is in the slide-out). You should be able to look under the slide and spot any outriggers that are sagging or broken. If the soft area is inside the main I-beam and joist frame area, you will have to remove the coroplast bottom and take a look. Forum member Daryles recently had an excellent write-up in a thread where he had to repair some broken joist welds, and maybe an outrigger (I don't recall). He completely removed the coroplast and he has lots of photos. If the joist welds look good, some of the welds for the aluminum tube floor framing could have broken allowing the dynaspan OSB to sag. Frankly, I am not sure how water resistant dynaspan is, so I have no idea if (for example) a long-term water leak from the fridge may have weakened the OSB floor resulting in a sagging floor.

There are several "Montana factory tour" videos on youtube. Watch a few of these videos to get a better idea about the construction illustrated in my rough sketch. I watched this video for help developing the sketch...

I have a soft spot in my floor that I was able to inspect by removing the basement wall. It appears you have two areas to access - great pic by Mikendebbie!

There is another option that may be a workable solution for you. I believe Collinsville is in Illinois? If that is the case, then I suggest a road trip to Affinity RV Repair in Goshen, Indiana, to assess the flooring https://affinityrvgroup.com/.

During the National MOC Rally, I witnessed the work that Affinity had done on other trailers, and everyone spoke highly of the company and their working relationship with Keystone. Several of the issues they (Affinity) addressed were covered by Keystone regardless of warranty status. For example, one Keystone Owner had a delaminated wall repaired at little to no cost and the RV was several years old.

I live across the country, and if my "RV Guy" could not handle the assessment or repair, I would seriously consider a trip east for the to look at the issue.

A road trip, if feasible, may be worth your time and money!
