We are wanting to get RV Flex Armor applied to the roof of our 2019 330RL. We live in Oklahoma City and there are a few locations near us.
I have seen several positive reviews for the location in North Little Rock, AR.
There is also a location in Elk City, OK, North Oklahoma City, OK, and Denton, TX.
Has anyone used any of these other locations? If so, what was your experience? We are willing to go to Little Rock if that the most recommended location.
Thanks for your help!

Tracy

We’re not near you but had our 2017 345RL done at Flex Armor of Greensboro in North Carolina where we live. We are very pleased with the results

Does Flex Armor truly reduce the interior temperature of the RV? We are considering and would use the Denton, TX location. Thanks

I had it in my last trailer and it seemed to work ok. I had tree issues and had to do some patching but the caulk they recommended worked well and made repairs easy.

Talked to a vendor about it at the Atlanta RV show. Quoted me 9 thousand for our 2021 3855BR. Seemed a little high, just cant pull the trigger on that quite yet.

I had the whole roof done in Prescott AZ. Seems to be ok and I think a lifetime warranty. Only drawback is if you need to cut into it, say, to remove and reinstall a vent or such, it will void the warranty unless you take it back and have them do it. Certainly a complete covering and went over the seems on the edge of the roof so no chance for leaks.

Mine was done at Camper Corral, Madison, Mississippi. Very pleased with the results.

We put it through a multi-night trip that included cold weather. I think it helped with heating in low 20s. I expect it also helps this summer.

Possibly having the FlexArmor done on our 2022 Montana HC-35'. The location we are looking at is Dalton, TX (DFW). They specialize in Plyurea RV Roof system' "water-tight seal, resists leaks, cracking & pealing, guaranteed and transferable".
At this time we have no roof issues. We do the maintenance every year etc. We've decided to keep our rig for 3-5 more years (hopefully) and travel more often in various climates.

We were quoted about $7,000.00 (seems high for no repairs and a 35'?)
Is this location reputable? We can (possibly) be flexible as we travel.
Thinking of adding more solar panels - before or after the FlexArmor?
Anyone have this done on their rig? Thoughts/suggestions? Thank you!

Hello Troy and Tracy Chaddon, we applied the Flex Armor to our Monty last March. It helps with the summer heat and greatly reduced sounds caused by rain. We used Patriot RV in Denton TX for the roof and other RV repairs. I would suggest you give them a call.

$7k seems a little on light side. The roof will need to be stripped of all items, AC, vent hoods, etc. Rubber roof removed. Since the rubber roof was glued, may damage the plywood underlayment, which will need to be replaced. The applicator should spray everything on the roof. Vent hoods, AC hoods, etc. If you are considering more solar panels, talk to the applicator. Probably want to add the panels before spray or have them available at time of spraying. Our applicator sprayed the solar panel mounting brackets.

Flexarmor has a lifetime warranty, I think. HOWEVER, if you want to do anything to the roof such as replace a vent cover or anything that involves drilling or cutting into the roof voids the warranty. However, if you go back to them and have them do it, then the warranty is still ok. I had a new TV antennae installed by them when they worked on it.
Also, this stuff is a solid layer of 'stuff' over the whole roof and they overlap the edges by about 3 inches so there is no chance of leaking.
My rig roof had started - getting real 'grainy' - I could rub it and it felt like sand coming off. It had sat out in AZ sun for 7 years, but other people said there roof lasted longer. Good luck.
P.S. I paid $7K around 2020, so at our inflation rate, I would expect it to be at least $9K and probably more.

Thanks Troy & Tracy. Great reminder about the noise barrier-look forward to that as well :) We will look into Patriot RV.
