Residential refrigerator question

I just installed this exact fridge in our 2022 3121RL. If you have the same model, be warned: to get it to squeeze through the door and around the coffee bar counter, we had to take the interior handle, stairs, and entire door/frame off, then lift the fridge on a pallet with a tractor and scoot the fridge in with all doors removed. It squeezed in with less than a millimeter of clearance.

It fit in the hole from the norcold almost exactly, I just had to trim a little bit off the top of the cabinet opening to clear the top door plastic cover piece.

Snak, what did you use for securing the fridge to the floor, sides, or back?

2019 331RL Montana High country.

I am currently connected to shore power and want to disconnect the power to the refrigerator. My unit is equipped with a 1000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter. I understand this is to keep the full-size residential refrigerator, with ice maker, powered on while traveling from one campground to the next.

I want to keep shore power connected and turn the power off to the refrigerator so I can defrost it and prepare to winterize the camper.

How do I leave shore power on and not have the refrigerator power on?

I turn off the circuit breaker for the refrigerator when I store my rv.

Turning Off Frig

Simplest way is to simply determine the correct breaker and flip it off. Mine is the far left on a 2018 Montana.

So far we like our Samsung. We've had trouble with 12 volt RV type fridges in our past lives, so we were glad the trailer came with a residential style. FYI... we're in a 2023 Montana 3901RK and love it. So far this 5th wheel has been much less problematic than our motorhome was.

Bartman - you need to figure out if the apparatus keystone uses will work for your whirlpool (screen shot below). The front strap/part bolts into the hinge bolts…then you anchor the whole thing to the back wall behind the fridge. It is a proven system that works when properly installed…probably easier and safer than trying to design and install your own anchor ideas. The kit even includes a knob that screws in to the front bar too keep the doors shut during transit. I can get you some dimensions off my Samsung to compare to your whirlpool if you need it.

Just flip the breaker off that controls the refer

I turn off my inverter down below, then the 120v power from shore power can be disconnected by flipping off the circuit breaker in the fuse box inside. Then I'm 100% shut down. Just remember to power up the inverter if you travel, or you will have no power once you unplug the coach.
