We have a 2016 3721 RL. 3rd year of ownership. We also have a Samsung.
It is original equipment, as far as I know. When I bought this rig, I was concerned how I would ever get this monstrosity out of the rig, should it need replaced. I discovered that it will go right out the door, once the refer doors are removed. Even though it's 10 years old, it works great. But surprisingly, it is loaded with great technology. It has two separate evaporators (the inside part with fins, that get cold), which will turn off either the freezer, or refrig, and shed that load, for energy efficiency. The refrigeration unit runs off an Inverter, like a mini-split air conditioner. Amp usage is about 1 amp, which is remarkable. This is a great choice if you boondock, or run off solar. If mine died today, I would replace it with a new one, same model.
Service note: This refer gets it power, after traveling thru a converter (120v to 12v), and then thru an Inverter (12v to 120v, located on the ceiling in the basement storage). I would suggest isolating the refrigerator power cord (the actual cord connected to the back of the refer) to rule out any power supply issues. Just because the refer light might work, doesn't prove the refer is getting proper power. The main refer control board, has a 3rd inverter build into it (supplies 80 to 200 volts, depending on the load), and this board is finicky about its power source. So isolating the refer cord, and plugging it straight into a wall plug, will rule out any electrical supply issues. A Samsung Tech doesn't know anything about the 5th wheel power supply, and an RV tech has limited knowledge about inverter-run refrigerators. So it would help to isolate power versus actual refrig problem, to call the correct tech. Good Luck.
