Repairing Failed Nose Cap LEDs

I recently noticed 3 LEDs are out in my nose cap lights…see pic. Is there a way to repair those 3? I will i be waiting for the whole cap to go out, and therefore replace them all?

Mike, I don't think the individual LED's are repairable. You can replace the whole strip of lights. I have the same problem, but I have many more that went out. I have collected a few links over the past couple of years.

I just replaced the LED brow lights on our 2016 3160 Legacy. One set of wires had separated so I had to go in through the back of the front closet to find the wiring to hook up the lights. I used Boogie Lights 23 inch LED amber strip lights. Installation was straight forward easy.

I appreciate this thread and responses as the LED lights on the front cap on my Montana 3120RL are poorly installed and look cheap as they're just 2 strips of LEDs. I'll refer back to this thread in the fall/winter/spring when it's cooler as I'll be looking to replace them. I appreciate the links provided.

I've also got an interior hidden LED light run along one side of the open area (living room/kitchen) and half of that string are out most of the time (must be a bad connection in there). I'll need to figure out if I can get in there to remove and replace that string.

I bought a set of bright blues on Amazon and installed them myself. They look really cool and they're twice as bright as the ones that were there. They come with double stick tape but I put mine on with clear silicone.

In case this helps. I had a few go out on the dry top strip and 3 or 4 on the lower strip. Called my friends at affinity and they ordered and mailed me a kit of OEM strips. They were like $20, a no brainer. I chose OEM because I wasn't sure of the after market stuff, which I'm sure works great as some have said, for the price I just kept it original. Super super easy to remove the old, (careful not to let the cable fall back into the front cap) CLEAN AREA WELL, peel and stick. Don't forget to caulk the area where the cable comes out.
