An RVer wants slide toppers installed on a recently acquired fifth wheel after heavy rain on the bedroom and living room slide roofs disrupted sleep. They asked which Quartzsite vendors could handle installation, whether suitable sizes would be available, and whether show pricing might apply. Several members recommended Shade Pro, citing positive experiences with topper and awning installations, pricing, and warranty support.

So, my last 5er had 3 slide toppers. Love them, or hate them, (I never had a problem with them) I discovered I need them on my recently acquired 5er. I steady thunderstorm parked over the top of us for about 90 minutes in the middle of the night and woke us up. Not the thunder, but the heavy rain hitting the roof of the bedroom slide! It was like trying to sleep inside of a drum! I walked down to the living room area and same thing with the LR slide. I don't remember that issue with the last rig with the toppers.

Question... I know some have had accessories like awnings, etc installed at Quartzsite. Are there any specific vendors at that event that I should reach out to for show pricing? What are the chances they would have the right length at the show, or do they have nearby warehouses?

I did look at the event web page but I cannot find, or figure out who to contact regarding this, or if the vendor list is complete.

Let me know if having them installed at that show is a possibility, or if you have used someone you can recommend for something similar.

Shade Pro is the go to vendor for all things awnings in Q. They have a crew there before the big show. They do get booked up. You should call in advance and make a reservation for when you plan to arrive.

They come and take measurements one day and then return a few days later to install. They make the awnings to order nearby,

I bet they are the people who did something to our neighbors RV while we were in the circle a couple of years back. I'll look into them. Thanks Carl and Scott.

X3 on shade pro I have had my slide toppers on my previous rig did a great job and good price

x4 on Shade Pro. I have had toppers and main awnings done by them on 2 different rigs and have not been disappointed. When I did have a problem, they stood behind their product and warranty by coming out to the circle and fixing things. If you give them a call, (800) 328-5100, and let them know you will be there with the Montana group, they will come to the circle, take your measurements and have the materials ready for install in just a few days. My point of contact and installer has always been Steve Levesque. He is familiar with our group and where we normally park at in the desert.

Will likely go that route. Do you think they will have some kind of show special?
