Problem Using Genny

ANYONE got an Idea why when I use the Factory installed Onan Generator on my 2018 3720RL items like my frig , TV and Washer dryer all on the left side do not have power to them . But when I use the shore line connection for power all works perfectly
This is driving me crazy I have been checking everywhere and everything and feel I have to be missing something easy Jeff 945 234 8414

Do you have an inverter in your camper. Not the "converter" .... you main electric panel with the breakers, a separate device that generates AC electricity from your battery?

If you do, then it's possible the left side of the camper is wired to run with the inverter, which means, the left side would have 3 possible power sources: Shore power, your generator, and your battery (converting to AC power). If you do, the problem might rest on the "inverter" transfer switch.

When you flip over to the generator, the "inverter" side is not recognizing the battery.

Do you have an inverter? If so.... turn off the generator. Unplug completely from shore power. Make sure the inverter cut off switch is NOT in the cut off position, and make sure the inverter is actually turned on.

Now? is the refrigerator running (I'm assuming you have a residential refrigerator and not a gas absorption RV refrigerator). If the refrigerator runs when plugged into shore power and it runs when you are not plugged into shore power, but running off the battery, the problem is most likely the inverter transfer switch not recognizing the generator.

Try this little procedure and see what happens. Now .... if you do not have an inverter ... I'm clueless.
