Possible CSW Series Inverter Troubles

We have a 2023 Montana 3793RD. We live/travel full-time. Never boondocked or used solar. We arrived at our new destination today and noticed the digital reading was different. Usually reads 14.something. Now it reads 8.8. (see pic). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh and explain it like I'm a 5th grader Thanks.

Not having that setup, I suspect it is telling you the State Of Charge (SOC) of the battery. And 8.8. is definitely not a good number. The battery is not being charged by the converter assuming you don't have/use solar. The lack of charge may be due to a bad converter, the battery disconnect switch being in the wrong position, a bad 50 amp DC circuit breaker, or a bad battery cable connection.

A VOM is your friend in figuring out where the lack of charge voltage occurs.

I no longer have a magnum Dimensions csw converter but have that same display. I get those pair of eights when first turning on the inverter for a second or so before it reads normal, it’s like its default screen momentarily when first powering up. Maybe for some reason it’s not booting up properly. I would start with shutting it down by turning off the inverter at the inverter disconnect switch in the battery compartment and then restarting in a few minutes. Beyond that, I’m not familiar enough with your system to say more, but Carl’s reply is a good starting point. Good luck.

I'll add that I have lithium batteries (if that makes a difference). Also, when I press either of the buttons shown in the picture nothing happens???
