I saw your post as well. The comment regarding the remote start is a good one and even Generac recommends protection when the gen is outside. Generac has a two year warranty, the first is for parts and labor the second is parts only. Noise is only a problem for our neighbors so I staged it behind the garage to help shield them from the noise. It doesn't sound like that is a problem for you.
