Several RVers report experiencing random popping noises inside their 2022 3121RL, especially when the unit is stationary and used intermittently. The most supported explanation is hydraulic system "stiction," where the hydraulic fluid causes components to stick and release, resulting in popping sounds. The recommended fix is to remove about a quart of hydraulic fluid and replace it with anti-stiction fluid (such as Caterpillar or motorcycle fork oil), then cycle the levelers and slides to... I have a 2022 3121RL and it is making popping noises at random times when I am anywhere inside the camper. The unit stays in one place all the time as I only use it 1-2 days a week while I'm at work. Could it be the hydraulics making the popping noise? Anyone else dealt with this? It doesn't seem as if the camper is becoming un-level, just making the noises. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing is wrong with- its the hydraulic system experiencing stiction.

Search the forum for STICTION - lots of threads. Basically - use a turkey baster to suck out about a quart of fluid from the reservoir and add a quart of anti-stiction fluid. Cycle the levelers and the slides a couple of times to mix it in. Catepillar and others make antistiction fluid - but i used motorcycle fork oil because the Cat dealer was a farther drive than the motorcycle shop.

Jacks usually get the attention when people talk about “popping” noises, but another source is the skin of the trailer which expands and contracts with temperature change and makes very audible pops when doing so.

Check to make sure your slideouts are out all the way. I had a similar issue with our bedroom slide. I found that it wasn't out "all the way".
