Several members here have solar on their campers. I don’t but I’ve always wanted some solar. Plug in Solar fits. There are millions of these systems in Europe and they just became legal in the US in most states. These systems are just like they sound, buy it place 2 solar panels and plug it in done. They are safe if you unplug it or the power goes out they quit producing power. If the power goes out the lineman that comes to fix it is safe.

Mine is producing from about 3 to 6+ KW a day. Not much but that rounds out to 80 cents a day on a thousand dollar investment. That is a 25% plus ROI. I’ll take that any time. As they say your results may vary. We pay about 17.2 cents per KW. They will produce less power this winter and more next summer so 80 plus cents per day might be about average for the year, we’ll see.

No they will not work for our campers. They must have a power source to work.

The inverter is warrented for 12 years the panels for 25 so I don’t know. I watch a solar power forum and I haven’t seen that on this forum
Let me know where you find this
Thanks Lynwood

St Michael thanks for reply. I always like this type of help.
I just Googled this. The quality inverters have a failure rate of less than 1 to 2 percent and the cheap ones the failure rate can be 20 to 40 percent in 2 to 4 years.
Of course you can warranty any thing for life if the buyer dies soon enough. That is what I tell my customers but then I have repaired products that were 30 years old for free even when the customer was at fault.
