Members expressed strong frustration over the significant increase in dog waste left uncollected at the recent Indiana rally, with several noting that the fairgrounds went from clean to heavily soiled by the event’s end. Many RVers shared that they always carry and use poop bags, emphasizing that responsible pet ownership is essential to maintaining access to campgrounds and rallies. We just completed the annual rally in Indiana. The fair grounds is a great facility and the rally was well worth while. I want to say that we have 2 dogs that have traveled with us for the past 5 years. They have added joy to our travels and we have never failed to clean up after our dogs. During the rally several announcements were made that complaints had been made that some pet owners were not picking up after their pets. I observed that on arrival the fair grounds were very clean and attractive. On departure that had changed dramatically. It had become difficult to walk over the grounds without stepping in numerous piles of dog crap. I see this problem in all rv parks to some degree but never before to this extent. I am embarrassed to say this says horrible things about Montana owners or at least about Montana pet owners. The fact is, half or less of the dog owners at this rally cleaned up after their dogs. This can have only 1 result - we will all lose the privilege to travel with our pets. SHAME ON US!

We have 4 pups who travel with us. At one time we had five. We have always cleaned up after our fur babies. This year in our own site someone let their dog poop all over and never cleaned up. Resulting in us stepping in someone else’s dog mess. I spend a lot of money on poop bags each year so that we and other people can enjoy to walk around the campground without stepping in dog piles. It’s part of what we as responsible pet owners do!!!!

People are lazy, or they just don't care. We are very good about not being "those people" and try to catch it right then and there. I don't like to be scolded by the poop police Karens of the world. LOL

Couldn’t agree more. We go to so many nice places that don’t allow dogs and this is why. To many inconsiderate or entitled people.
