Share Your Journey-New Owner 1 Yr Anniversary
My response:

This last year of ownership has been one of the most frustrating, difficult and disappointing year as a Montana owner. We previously had a 2013 Montana with the only issues being a broken toilet and shredding furniture. Otherwise build quality was satisfactory. No problems or worries.

This unit has been the total opposite. Not one time have we used it and not experienced multiple issues.
I have submitted a list to your customer service department a month ago. Now I can add additional items from our last one month usage:
Security bolt for refrigerator will not unscrew. Bolt for freezer has NEVER lined up to install (had it supposedly fixed, it wasn’t), the slide awning and lights won’t work, pipes under kitchen sink broke and flooded cabinet, and back window shades fell off. (2nd time this had happened, first was first 3 days of ownership). Toilet is leaking around the foot pedal.

These are all broken items in the last three weeks. Added to the 27 items from my previous list.
This has been the worst RV experience we’ve ever had in almost 30 years of RVing and 4 previous RVs. This is a LEMON and I feel we should be compensated for the multiple times we could not use it because it was in the dealership for repairs. Almost 6 months of the 12 months of ownership.

I haven’t had a working oven for the whole time, waiting for that to be resolved. Refrigerator died on 2nd week of use. Every bit of trim has fallen off, the door wouldn’t stay shut and opened while moving! Solar charger died and we had a dead battery. The list goes on and on.
Check it out with your CS department. I think this unit should be replaced at Keystone’s expense. I will be proclaiming loud and long to everyone of the horrendous build quality of this unit.

Candace - I believe in a previous post to one of your threads, someone recommended that you get your own mobile RV tech to look at and fix your issues. Get it out of the dealers lot. Tell Keystone you have lost confidence in the dealers capabilities. Try to come to a risk sharing agreement with keystone for payment. I believe if you wait for the dealer to fix it all (which is the right thing to do) you will be at the dealers mercy for getting it done. I’m just trying to think of ideas to get this off high center.

Can you scan your full list and post it here? Maybe forum members can advise you how to fix some of the issues.

An update to our situation: our rig is presently at the dealership to work on the latest 5 items that we found wrong/broken on our September trip which now includes the roof! We were assured by the dealership that a replacement oven was on order. Today we were told they can’t find an oven to fit, when we were told one was ordered and on its way to be installed when we dropped it off. Between the roof and now the missing oven I’m so frustrated! Now a major issue, the roof, is making my faith in this unit ever being reliable, a dream.

I don’t feel the dealership is the main problem because they have truly tried to help us and are not pushing us off because we didn’t purchase from them.

Now we have a MAJOR item instead of all minor issues. I truly believe we will continue to have more problems, major or minor because this unit is very definitely, a poorly constructed unit.
My list of broken items:
Refrigerator, circuit board, safety locks won’t align
Oven (over a year and still not received a new one) won’t stay lit or go above 250 degrees
Multiple lights - 5 (miswired or pinched) quit working in living area/kitchen
Multiple Shades fell off - multiple times
All trim in living area/kitchen fell off - multiple times
Bedroom lights above bed
Bedroom AC not working
Solar charger died
Awning and lights won’t work on slide out
Main awning broke, parts fell off
Fenders falling off
Skirting falling off
Door flies open during travel (we had a new digital handle installed at our expense)
Roof billowing and needs replaced (MAJOR issue)
Dining room chair collapsed
Kitchen drawers won’t close completely
Kitchen sink broke, flooded cabinet
Safety screws on refrigerator won’t come out
Toilet leaking

Cejones4210.... AMEN!

My first year of ownership (2018-2019) resulted in over 80 issues with my NEW High Country. Some were serious enough to make the camper non-functional. Many I ended up fixing myself.

It's a sad, sad, sad shame the effort the manufacture puts into their product which results in such anguish for us (the consumer).
