They are simply because they meet the weight rating , when this Goodyear do not . There was a day those Goodyear were just not a very reliable tire. , many reports of blowouts . Apparently they have improved . But as said they don’t meet the weight rating for these 7k axles .We've had the same set Goodyear G rated on our rig since 2017. Never a problem, but we are ready for new tires. I see a lot of Sailun fans here. Are they that much better than Goodyear?
SailunsI'm ready to upgrade. My Ranier's are the same as the OP. 235/80/R16. 4080 load single. They have excellent wear and we're on our 50th trip out. They're dated February 2021 so they are aging out. Considering Sailun's. I remember Dutch having Hercules and loved them. I know Sailun is the go to but I also hear good things about Cooper. Suggestions?
Yep, Sailuns. We're on our 2nd set on this rig. So far so good. I would also feel good about Cooper or Carlysle (Calstar now?)I'm ready to upgrade.
