Trying to help a friend at the campground.water heater works on electric but not on gas. No 12 v power at the 2 solenoids can't find any 12 fuse either, does someone know where the 12 volt comes from for the gas side , thanks al

12vdc to the water heater comes from the wall switch. There may be an in-line fuse behind the switch panel if not the main fuse panel.

I have checked in his panel for a 12v fuse and also looked online and am sure missing it somewhere. If i should isolate the brown wire that goes to the 2 selonids and run a temp 12v feed to them Just to check to see if the gas side is working should it fire as long as the selonids are good? Thx

Did you look behind the switch panel for an in-line fuse? What is the year and model of his trailer?

Temp power to the brown wire would only check the solenoids. It would not check the control board or thermostat/hi temp cutout, either of which could prevent it working. It would also not energize the spark electrode. So you could potentially be putting in gas with no spark to ignite it creating a dangerous condition.

3931 fb with incommand. It has in command but did not see a fuse there either. I would shut off the gas for sure if I tried the bypass thx
