Good Morning.

My name is Fred, and I am new to the site, to the idea of camping. We are shopping for a truck, and after seeing the montana series, have to have one. Have to figure out wether or not a shortbed will work out for pulling a 5th wheel, the Montana dealer suggests a sllider hitch makes it work, but to check here. So I will read on. Hope to make our first trip to the FL Keys this fall.

Have a great day ALL!!!

Like the others, we tow with a shortbed. The last three trucks towing fifthwheels have been shortbeds. I'd definitely recommend a slider hitch. We've had to use the slider only 4 times in over 8 years but sure were glad to have it when we needed it. Someday I'll have the superglide but until I can save a lot more pennies and somehow justify the trade (you married guys know what I'm saying!) our Reese with quikslide works just fine.
